Asthma and Obesity links!
Scientists how found a link between asthma and obesity. A cell that hampers the lungs of asthmatics has been linked to an increase in appetite. This scientific break though could explain why people classed as obese are more likely to become asthmatic. As obesity rates, among six year olds has doubled in recent years, so has cases of asthma in the same age. Lead researcher Dr David Cousins, of King's College London, said: "Both obesity and asthma are
massive diseases worldwide and it would be really good if we could find something that would help with both. If you could make a molecule that would block the function of the protein, it would have potential to improve the asthma and obesity in these individuals.
