Life is all about goals and most people are familiar with the age old mission of weight loss. It’s very easy to set a goal in January to loose weight but the practicalities of life get in the way and before you know it, November has come round again and the season of big portions and full glasses is just getting warmed up. To succeed you need a goal, an aim for you to work towards. Running, I’ve been told one of the great fat burners so a marathon should suit me down to the ground. But who wants to run in rainy London with a foam Rhino and a giant telephone flanking you for miles (well until the guys in their heavy novelty suits leave me behind). This would have to be special; New York here we come!
My mission: to complete the 475 mile course (well… it seems like that far) of the New York Marathon and loose the odd pound here and there.
