Pub Tries To Dodge Smoking Ban!
The landlord of the Wellington Arms in Freemantle, Southhampton has come up with a clever scheme in which to try and dodge the new smoking ban, set to come in on the 1st of July. Bob Beech wants to make his pub an embassy of an uninhabited island in the Caribbean; Rodonda, of which would not be subject to the new law. Bob (now know as Sir Bob following on from his knighthood by the Rodonda king) plan does work in theory but the
Foreign Office say that Rodenda is part of the Antigua and Barbuda territory and therefore not entitled to it’s own office here in the UK. Sir Bob is waiting for a decision and has said will enforce the ban should his proposal be turned down.
