Vit"C"an't Help!

Vitamin C Can't Fight A Cold!
Scientists have found that Vitamin C, taken everyday, does little to nothing in the fight against the common cold.  A study published in the Cochrane Library say the only time you get benefits from consuming vitamin C, is when the body is under extreme stress or in the cold.  Skiers, soldiers stationed in cold climates and marathon runners are few who do benefit from the vitamin.  According to the study, people who take the pills are at best only 2% are less likely to

catch a cold and those that do contract a cold would speed their recovery by a small margin over people who did nothing at all.  This comes off that back of another, unrelated study where scientist found echinacea to benefit and help fight colds.  It’s recommended however to continue to consume fresh fruit and veg, high in natural vitamin C as part of your normal daily diet.
